Family Care

Minimize

"Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6:2 (NIV)

Caring by Sharing

Our Church collects grocery staples each month and maintains a two-week supply to help members of our congregation who may be in need. Paper goods, canned foods, laundry detergent, cleaning aids, peanut butter, boxed cereal and other non-perishable food items are representative of the items collected and made available.

The Prayer Chain

Christ's Community Church has an active prayer life, which includes a group of caring people who form a Prayer Chain. For a list of our current prayer concerns, please read below to learn more about Prayer Concerns. If you have a prayer concern, for yourself or someone you know, please access the Share With Us page where you may send us a prayer request or tell us of a special need.

The Deacons' Fund

The Church has a fund in place to help members of our congregation deal with financial needs. Assistance has been provided for funeral costs, educational tuition, home and car repairs, holiday expenses, utility bills and other emergency situations. When someone in our Church family has a special need, the Fund is there to help.

The MAC Club

The men of our Church stand ready to assist members of our congregation through the Men's Arts & Crafts (MAC) Club. Projects have included routine yard work, building a loft, putting in drain tile, installing handicap ramps, tearing down ceilings, and putting up fences. To learn more about this activity, please see our Interest Groups page.

Loaves and Fishes

Our congregation is prepared to assist members and friends of our Church whenever there is hospitalization, prolonged illness or death in the family. Ways in which help may be provided in the case of illness are:

  • Preparation of meals, as needed.
  • Transportation to medical appointments.
  • Light house-cleaning and various home chores.
  • Staying with the patient during errands (or if one just needs a break).

Ways in which help may be provided in the case of a death in the family are:

  • Bringing food to your home to ease the burden of feeding family and visitors.
  • Preparing a light lunch at the Church following the funeral service or interment.
