go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything I have commanded you." |

Over 100 career missionaries are supported by our denomination, and thousands of volunteers have served as well, including some from our own Church.
The missionaries supported by our Church are Roger and Sue Scheenstra, and their family (see photo at right). Roger is an agriculturalist and Sue is a registered nurse. They work with the Africa Inland Church near Nairobi, Kenya in East Africa.

| Friendship Ministries |
|
Friendship Ministries is an inter-denominational ministry that helps churches share God’s love with people who have cognitive impairments, “friends”.
Friendship programs are relational. They typically begin in a group setting with a welcoming activity, singing and prayer, and a Bible lesson. This group session is followed by a one-on-one time, when mentors and friends meet to personalize the Bible story and to form friendships. We offer materials for both the group session and the one-on-one time.
We need friends, mentors (there is no prep work for mentors) and snack providers. Also, if you know of someone, a “friend”, who would enjoy this program, please give us a call. Judy Esterline at 672-1834 or Shirley Born at 482-5176

| Port-a-Pit Chicken Dinner |
|
| Each fall, the Church sponsors a community-wide Port-a-Pit Chicken Dinner which raises funds for a worthy service organization in the Fort Wayne area. This event enabled us to donate $1,000 to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission last year. |
|
| Charis House Donations |
|
| Supplies are collected and delivered to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission's shelter for women and children once each quarter. In addition, an annual community-wide clothing drive is sponsored to provide top quality clothing to the Charis House. |
|
| Associated Churches Food Bank |
|
| Non-perishable food items are collected the first Sunday each month. A small supply is stored to meet the needs of our congregation and the remainder is delivered to the Food Bank, which offers food and clothing items to families of our community who are in need. |
