We are the Sackett/Townsend family. Allison and Julie are sisters and first started attending Christ’s Community Church as teenagers. CCC at the time was meeting at Homestead High School. Allison and Aaron met at the church but went their separate ways to college. They reunited a few years later and married in the Church. They now have a 9 month old (Nathan) who is growing up in the church. All of the Sackett and Townsend family members are active members of CCC.
Francisco (Panchito) and Julie also married at CCC following a totally different path. Julie met Panchito in Valpariso, Chile where she was doing a semester’s worth of work at a large YMCA in the heart of downtown. Panchito was running their International Youth program. They married and now live just a few miles from Christ’s Community Church in Fort Wayne.
It’s all about family for this group. From immediate family to church family. Panchito, who comes from a culture where everyone is very friendly, says he was welcomed as family by this congregation. He also likes the small children programs at the church saying the biblically based logos program is one of his favorites.
Allison and Aaron also like the family atmosphere at Christ’s Community Church. With a new baby (Nathan) they find a loving and caring community that will help him grow in Christ. The Sacketts and Townsends extend a welcome to anyone who would like to become a member of Christ’s Community Church. |
